A Little Magic, A Lot of Belonging: Enchanted Tea Parties Return

There is something wonderfully ordinary—and wonderfully magical—about slowing down long enough to share tea with a friend. For the fourth summer, Imagine Cincinnati is partnering with Community Happens Here to host our Enchanted Tea Parties, creating a space where imagination, friendship, and belonging can bloom.

Children arrive dressed as fairies, dragons, princes, adventurers, or simply as themselves. Adults have fun wearing summer dresses and their garden party best. Together we sip "tea," enjoy sweet treats, create nature-inspired crafts, tell stories, and discover tiny moments of wonder. It isn't about fancy decorations or perfect costumes. It's about making room for play, connection, and the kind of childhood memories that linger long after the afternoon ends.

In a world that often asks families to hurry from one activity to the next, these gatherings invite us to slow down. We watch children become storytellers, caregivers, explorers, and new friends. We see caregivers connect over creativity while little ones discover that belonging often begins with a simple invitation to play pretend together.

Toddler Tea: Fri. 8/7 9:30am - 11am

Neighborhood Tea: Sat. 8/8, 11am - 1pm

You can also help grow that sense of belonging by purchasing one of our Fairy Garden Kits, available this Saturday, Aug. 1st during the Family Fun Run & Walk. The one-mile event begins on the lawn of All Saints Episcopal Church and winds through the neighborhood before ending at Community Happens Here with water tables and refreshing slushies. It’s a Pleasant Ridge neighborhood tradition to kick off Ridge Day 2026!

Every Fairy Garden Kit purchased supports Imagine Cincinnati's “Family Fund,” helping provide emergency assistance to families facing housing insecurity or youth mental health challenges. Together, we're planting more than miniature gardens—we're cultivating a community where every family is welcomed, supported, and reminded that they belong. Whether you join us for tea, lace up your shoes for the Fun Run, or take home a Fairy Garden Kit, you'll be helping grow a little more magic—and a lot more community.

Fairy Garden kits are available for $15 or $5 and made up of trinkets, crafts, seeds and shimmer from local partner Scrap It Up and Busken’s Bakery.
