When families have what they need to thrive, kids do better—and none of us gets there alone.

Grown from grassroots conversations with parents, caregivers, educators, and neighbors, #WeGoTogether is a growing community movement working to strengthen the connections between families, neighbors, and our public schools.

Right now, we're focusing on practical ways to help kids get to school, help families stay connected when life gets hard, and help all of us understand—and have a voice in—the decisions shaping our public schools, our public spaces, and the neighborhoods we call home.

Getting Kids to School
$0.00

Because getting there is something we can do together.

Transportation, safety, and connection all affect whether kids get to school ready to learn. We're building community-powered ways to make the journey easier, safer, and a lot more fun.

We're working with families, neighbors, and amazing community partners to sponsor and organize bike buses, get bikes and helmets to kids who need them, teach bike and transportation safety to us all, organize walking routes and safer pathways, and create community traditions that give kids another reason to want to show up to school each day.

A bike bus isn't just a way to get from A to B. It's a group of kids out in nature, riding with trusted adults, learning independence, and it’s neighbors looking out for one another, and a whole community saying: we'll help you get there. Plus, it’s just really FUN.

Because sometimes staying connected to school starts with having a safe place to land.

For families experiencing homelessness, getting kids to school can be one more impossible task in the middle of an already overwhelming season. The Simons Studio will be part of a growing network of care designed to help families stay connected to their schools and their community while they work with trusted partners to figure out what's next.

The Oakley-based 300 sq. ft. studio provides a safe, welcoming place where a public school family can rest, regroup, access basic resources, and find a little stability—while the wider community helps surround them with care, connection and support.

From a place to sleep and a hot shower to food, garden produce, transportation support, and connections to people who get it, we go together means no family has to navigate a housing crisis alone.

Because the people making decisions about our schools should hear from the families who depend on them.

Public schools belong to all of us. That means we all have a stake in understanding how they're funded, what policies shape the resources available to our kids, and how decisions at the state level directly affect the decisions made by school boards, principals, teachers and families every day.

Through Say Yes 4 CPS, we're building trust with parents, caregivers, and neighbors to help them learn more about the issues facing Cincinnati Public Schools - and many school districts in Ohio—including the school levy (Issue #4), state funding, and the ways Ohio's report card system not only impacts individual schools, but the whole neighborhood too.

But awareness is only the beginning. We're building the knowledge and relationships families need to ask questions, speak up, vote, organize, and have a voice in the decisions that shape our children's future.

Join the Movement

This is bigger than any one program. It's about building the kind of community where we look out for one another—and where families have a real voice in what happens next.

There are lots of ways to go together:

🚲 Ride. Join a bike bus, walking route, or community ride.

🎒 Support. Help provide bikes, helmets, transportation, school supplies, or other resources families need.

🏫 Learn. Get informed about school funding, public education, and the policies affecting our families.

📣 Speak up. Share your experience, contact decision-makers, vote, and help your neighbors find their voice.

🤝 Bring your people. Bring your school, neighborhood, organization, business, or community group into the work.

Because #WeGoTogether.

And the more of us who show up, the farther our kids—and our whole community—can go.
