Creating spaces of belonging, connection, and care where families can rest, grow, and thrive together.
Imagine Cincinnati began with a simple question:
Can we build the community we want and need for ourselves and our kids?
In a world where so many families feel stretched thin, isolated, or unsure where they belong, we started wondering what might happen if we made more room for connection. What if families had places to gather in nature, children could explore and grow alongside one another, and parents and caregivers could find support without having to navigate everything alone?
In 2023, a few families and neighborhood leaders began gathering in Pleasant Ridge, turning conversations on the playground into opportunities to build the kind of community we wanted for ourselves and our children. Those early gatherings have grown into a network of care woven throughout our schools and neighborhoods.
Meet the Team Helping Us Grow
Today, that work takes many forms: free year-round, family playgroups, community gardens, seasonal celebrations, camps, yoga, mental health and educational support, and a short-term home for families experiencing housing insecurity (coming soon).
We also work alongside families, educators, and community partners to advocate for the resources, policies, and conditions every child needs to thrive—from access to nature and mental health support to protecting public schools, supporting early literacy, and fighting for affordable housing.
At the heart of it all is a simple hope:
That families feel less alone.
That children experience belonging.
That communities grow more connected, compassionate, and rooted in care.
That’s why #weImagineCincinnati - together.
