Join us for a special morning of dance and celebration as we participate in Pleasant Ridge’s first neighborhood PRide weekend. Activities will be spread throughout the neighborhood June 5-7th. To learn more, click here.

For 2026, we continue to focus on seasons, cultures and community care. Through sharing time with each other, we’ll embrace the changing of the seasons, learn about different cultural rhythms and holidays, and develop social/emotional awareness through basic tools and tips on self-care, mental health, and parenting.

Each week we’ll lead opportunities to help you and your kids connect with nature, community, and your own deepest selves through:

• rhythms of songs and stories with other families in the shady peace of the rain garden at the back of Community Happens Here’s property

• simple prompts or practices to help adults connect, care for themselves, and feel belonging

• water tables and splash pads - come prepared to get wet on hot summer days!

• sensory bins and nature activities that spark curiosity and build literacy and communication skills

• time on the newly constructed swing set built by Community Happens Here, a perfect place for toddlers and preschoolers to develop social and gross motor skills

• toys and diverse books in our play shed, a wood-paneled space with electricity where we can share in the wonder of play

• new and familiar snacks connected to the culture, celebration or season we’re experiencing - and free coffee and tea for adults

Join us inside or in the backyard of Community Happens Here (6238 Montgomery Rd.) Park on the street or at the Walgreens nearby. We gather rain, snow or shine. When the weather is wet or below 40 degrees, we’ll meet indoors at CHH, but we always end with play on the swing set on dry days.
