Savor & Sonder (adults only)

Join us for annual self-care events in December and January to help you connect, heal & recharge during the busy holiday season.

Community leaders will gently guide us into recognizing and releasing stress from the season. Learn tips and tools to help care for yourself while navigating the complexities of family life - both past & present.

For this first event, Kim Panther of Winter Wellness will be host a relaxing yoga experience at Hello Sunshine Yoga in Pleasant Ridge. We’ll learn simple movements to help navigate tension and stress during the holiday season. Leave with resources and tools to help integrate seasonal self-care in your family or community rhythms. Donate $10 or more when you register for this class via the button below and Hello Sunshine will donate it to a local nonprofit, The Caring Place.

For our second event, we’re bringing back Silent Book Club! Over the past couple of years, a small group of parents and caregivers have been gathering in parks and cafes to escape the weekend chaos and read silently for 45 minutes. Bring whatever you like to read or listen to and use the time to hear your own thoughts. We’ll then chat about what we love reading. For this seasonal book club, we’ll also send you home with a few resources to help embrace quiet moments for yourself this holiday season. Join us at Redtree Cafe and Art Gallery in Oakley.

For our third event, Ruth Anne Wolfe, founder of Community Happens Here and certified Soul Collage leader, will be there with Tyler Chernesky, to introduce us to the practice of Soul Collage. We’ll use this visual and creative practice to reflect on the holiday season and envision the year ahead. You don’t need to be artistic or consider yourself a creative person to engage in this practice. It’s truly meant for everyone.
