Compassion Camp with Summer Saints

In collaboration with our community partners, Imagine Cincinnati will co-host “Compassion Camp” at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pleasant Ridge.

For those interested in sending their kids to “Vacation Bible School” but worried about what they’ll learn, we’ve created a camp anchored in progressive, inclusive Christian values and neighborhood connections.

Each of the five mornings we will explore the meaning of compassion and how we can develop and show loving kindness to others.  Each day we’ll do yoga, learn Bible stories, play games, do crafts, and walk to locations in the neighborhood to learn from leaders of compassion in our community:

Monday - Animals - visit to the PR library where we will get a tour of the library and meet a representative of the SPCA

Tuesday - Neighborhood - visit to Community Happens Here for Sidewalk Hospitality

Wednesday - Ourselves - yoga with Kim Panther from Hello Sunshine Yoga

Thursday - Church - Rev. Meredith Hern will talk to us about aspects of compassion in church life

Friday - Earth - the “Care-free Fridays” family playgroup will join us as leaders from 4-H Youth Development teach us about pollinator plants and work with us in the garden

For ages 3-9, younger children may attend if an adult volunteers with them.

REGISTRATION IS NOW FULL.
