Help Us Build our Children’s Community Garden!

Join us on June 1st and support our kick-off to a summer of service, growth and community.

Our world gives us more than enough reasons to feel anxious, hurried, and disconnected. That’s why we’re reclaiming something sacred this summer: peace.

Peace for our kids—and for ourselves.

Imagine the peace of long summer days spent outside.

The peace of being surrounded by trusted adults who truly care.

The peace of being loved, completely, just as you are.

At Imagine Cincinnati, we’re building a community where peace, connection, and belonging are not just dreams—they're daily realities.

With your support, we're creating rhythms and rituals that help families slow down, soak up the sun, and support one another in the joys and challenges of raising the next generation. A generation that knows the land, knows themselves, and knows they are deeply loved.

This is why we’re kicking off a campaign to “Reclaim Summer 2025.” Join us by getting your hands darting, donating to the cause, and showing up to play.

On June 1st, with support from ServeOhio, we’re joining volunteers across the state to serve our communities throughout the month of June. Join us to serve, play and eat together as we kick-off a summer of care-free fun!

🌱 3pm - Arrive ready to volunteer in the garden (as weather permits). All ages are welcome to help us plant, weed, and prepare the ground for new beds, pollinator plants, and special areas for imagination and play.

🌻 4:15pm - Join Luis Aguilar, Environmental Education Specialist at the Civic Garden Center as he teaches us how to care for our native pollinators, then leads us in creating mosaic art for our garden space.

🍉 5:00pm - Join us for lawn games, garden play and a shared meal to celebrate the start of summer with families in your community.

When you support this effort—you’re taking a stand for community. For care. For childhood. For parents and caregivers who deserve peace, too.

Learn More About our Children’s Community Garden:

Last year, in collaboration with our friends at Cincinnati Mennonite Fellowship (CMF), we started developing a “Children’s Community Garden.” Thanks to CMF and our partners, we turned an old garage into a nature play space, with toys, books, coffee, a tree to climb, berry bushes to pick, and a garden that grew lots of veggies.

This year, thanks to a small grant from ServeOhio, support from the Civic Garden Center of Cincinnati, and our local partners, we are kicking off the next phase of our Children’s Community Garden dreams, which include:

-an expanded veggie garden we hope will produce enough to support families in need through CMF’s twice monthly meals and pantry

-sensory-friendly plants designed to engage young children

-pollinator garden patch to help save our native pollinators

-nature-based, collaborative art projects

-nature-inspired outdoor play space and garden programming to engage 0-8 year olds and their caregivers

-vine covered lean-to for growing and play

-magical secret fairy garden …and more!

Please help us make our dreams a reality. You can make a donation, sign up to serve, join us on June 1st, and invite your friends! It all helps!

Together, let’s reclaim summer. Let’s reclaim community. Let’s plant something good that will last.
